Job summary

NVA Pet Resorts in Memphis, TN is seeking a dedicated Full-Time Kennel Technician (Pet Pro) to care for dogs and cats in daycare and boarding. You will maintain a clean, welcoming environment and provide safe, loving care to our furry guests.

Join a trusted team at a growing pet-care network. Weekend and holiday shifts are required, with paid training and employee discounts. Lift up to 60 lbs and work indoors/outdoors in varied conditions.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Walking dogs and supervising playgroups.
• Feeding pets and administering medications.
• Cleaning and sanitizing pet rooms and common areas.
• Monitoring pet health, behavior, and interactions.
• Documenting care notes and communicating with leadership.
• Engaging pets in enrichment activities like fetch, walks, and basic obedience games.
• Comforting shy guests and managing high-energy groups.
• Laundry and general facility upkeep.

We’re looking for a Full-Time Kennel Technician (internally called a Pet Pro) to join our team and care for our furry guests at their home away from home.

What You’ll Do

As a Pet Pro, you’ll be hands‑on in both daycare and boarding, providing safe, loving care while keeping our resort clean and welcoming.

Your day may include:

• Walking dogs and supervising playgroups
• Feeding pets and administering medications
• Cleaning and sanitizing pet rooms and common areas
• Monitoring pet health, behavior, and interactions
• Documenting care notes and communicating with leadership
• Engaging pets in enrichment activities like fetch, walks, and basic obedience games
• Comforting shy guests and managing high-energy groups
• Laundry and general facility upkeep

And yes — you’ll scoop poop, clean messes, o home with fur on your clothes, and probably get plenty of sloppy kisses.

• Passionate about dogs and cats
• Gentle, patient, and safety-focused
• Comfortable supervising multiple dogs at once
• Able to recognize and prevent conflicts in playgroups
• Detail‑oriented with strong documentation habits
• Friendly and comfortable speaking with pet parents
• Reliable, punctual, and team‑oriented

You must be able to:

• Stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 60 lbs
• Work indoors and outdoors in various temperatures
• Handle large and small dogs confidently
• Work weekends and holidays
• Be comfortable around pet messes and cleaning products
