Job summary

NVA Pet Resorts is seeking a dedicated Kennel Technician (Pet Pro) to provide safe, loving care for dogs and cats in a busy, upscale pet resort environment. You will work as part of a trusted team, ensuring clean spaces, enrichment, and attentive care for every guest.

This full-time position requires weekend and holiday shifts and a passion for animal welfare. You’ll contribute to a welcoming, home-like experience for pets and their families at our Littleton location.

Qualifications

  • Passionate about dogs and cats.
  • Gentle, patient, and safety-focused.
  • Able to supervise multiple dogs at once.
  • Detail-oriented with strong documentation habits.
  • Friendly and comfortable speaking with pet parents.

Responsibilities

  • Walking dogs and supervising playgroups
  • Feeding pets and administering medications
  • Cleaning and sanitizing pet rooms and common areas
  • Monitoring pet health, behavior, and interactions
  • Documenting care notes and communicating with leadership
  • Engaging pets in enrichment activities like fetch, walks, and basic obedience games
  • Comforting shy guests and managing high-energy groups
  • Laundry and general facility upkeep
  • Scoop poop, clean messes, and manage fur and odors

Kennel Technician (Pet Pro)

Do you love working with dogs and cats? Want to be part of a trusted team that makes pets feel safe, loved, and at home?

We're looking for a Full-Time Kennel Technician (internally called a Pet Pro) to join our team and care for our furry guests at their home away from home.

What You'll Do

As a Pet Pro, you'll be hands‑on in both daycare and boarding, providing safe, loving care while keeping our resort clean and welcoming.

Your day may include:

  • Walking dogs and supervising playgroups
  • Feeding pets and administering medications
  • Cleaning and sanitizing pet rooms and common areas
  • Monitoring pet health, behavior, and interactions
  • Documenting care notes and communicating with leadership
  • Engaging pets in enrichment activities like fetch, walks, and basic obedience games
  • Comforting shy guests and managing high-energy groups
  • Laundry and general facility upkeep
  • And yes - you'll scoop poop, clean messes, o home with fur on your clothes, and probably get plenty of sloppy kisses.
What We're Looking For

We're seeking someone who is:

  • Passionate about dogs and cats
  • Gentle, patient, and safety-focused
  • Comfortable supervising multiple dogs at once
  • Able to recognize and prevent conflicts in playgroups
  • Detail-oriented with strong documentation habits
  • Friendly and comfortable speaking with pet parents
  • Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented

You must be able to:

  • Stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 60 lbs
  • Work indoors and outdoors in various temperatures
  • Handle large and small dogs confidently
  • Work weekends and holidays
  • Be comfortable around pet messes and cleaning products
