Job summary

NVA Pet Resorts is seeking a dedicated Kennel Technician (Pet Pro) to care for dogs and cats in our pet-friendly resort. You will work in both daycare and boarding environments, providing safe, loving care, and keeping facilities clean and organized.

You will walk dogs, monitor playgroups, feed pets, administer medications as needed, document care notes, and engage pets with enrichment activities. Weekend and holiday shifts are required; experience with pet messes is anticipated.

Qualifications

• Experience in caring for dogs and cats is preferred.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 60 lbs.
• Comfortable working in indoor and outdoor conditions.

Responsibilities

• Care for dogs and cats in daycare and boarding settings.
• Walk dogs and supervise playgroups.
• Feed pets and administer medications as needed.
• Clean and sanitize pet rooms and common areas.
• Document care notes and communicate with leadership.
• Engage pets in enrichment activities and basic obedience games.

We’re looking for a Full-Time Kennel Technician (internally called a Pet Pro) to join our team and care for our furry guests at their home away from home.

What You’ll Do

As a Pet Pro, you’ll be hands-on in both daycare and boarding, providing safe, loving care while keeping our resort clean and welcoming.

Your day may include:

• Walking dogs and supervising playgroups
• Feeding pets and administering medications
• Cleaning and sanitizing pet rooms and common areas
• Monitoring pet health, behavior, and interactions
• Documenting care notes and communicating with leadership
• Engaging pets in enrichment activities like fetch, walks, and basic obedience games
• Comforting shy guests and managing high-energy groups
• Laundry and general facility upkeep
• And yes — you’ll scoop poop, clean messes, o home with fur on your clothes, and probably get plenty of sloppy kisses.

What We’re Looking For

We’re seeking someone who is:

• Passionate about dogs and cats
• Gentle, patient, and safety-focused
• Comfortable supervising multiple dogs at once
• Able to recognize and prevent conflicts in playgroups
• Detail-oriented with strong documentation habits
• Friendly and comfortable speaking with pet parents
• Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented

You must be able to:

• Stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 60 lbs
• Work indoors and outdoors in various temperatures
• Handle large and small dogs confidently
• Work weekends and holidays
• Be comfortable around pet messes and cleaning products

Work Schedule

• Full-Time
