Job summary

The Smilist in Marlton, NJ is seeking a reliable Dental Assistant to join our growing practice. This position offers a unique schedule: 30 hours per week, paid for 36, with two weekdays and one rotating weekend day.

You will assist doctors, prepare trays, maintain sterile environment, and escort patients. NJ x-ray license is required; Dentrix experience is a plus. Competitive benefits package included.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year as a Dental Assistant.

• RDA/CDA not required but preferred.

We are currently seeking a reliable, friendly, and motivated Dental Assistant to join our growing practice and contribute to our mission of excellent dental care.

Key Responsibilities:

• Keep patients focused on optimal treatment while attending their individual concerns and promoting the good qualities of their doctor
• Maintain a clean, sterile, and cheerful environment where your patient feels comfortable; prepare patients for treatment, and assist the doctors - thereby enabling them to provide efficient quality dental treatment
• Escort patients to and from the front desk
• Prepare tray setups for dental procedures and maintain adequate supply levels in each operatory, ordering and replenishing as needed
• Other duties as assigned by management

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Dental Assistant - at least 1 year
• Must have an active NJ x-ray license
• RDA/CDA a plus, but not required
• Knowledge of dental instruments, equipment, and procedures
• Prior Dentrix experience preferred, but not required
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work well in a team and handle multiple tasks efficiently
• Attention to detail and a positive attitude

• Salary Range: $25.00-$28.00/hour - based on licensure
