Job summary

Adventure Dental, Vision, & Orthodontics in Albuquerque, NM is seeking a Dental Assistant to support the dentist and hygienist in delivering compassionate care to patients.

The role involves radiography, charting, patient education, and instrument sterilization in a pediatric-friendly practice with generous pay and benefits.

Qualifications

• Radiology education and training that meets state requirements.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to actively listen to patients and parents.
• Able to multi-task and complete dental tasks accurately and efficiently.
• Experience with EHR systems is a plus (eCW).
• Previous dental office experience preferred.
• Current BLS CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Collect and document patient records clearly and concisely.
• Obtain dental radiographs (periapicals, bitewings, panoramic) as requested by the dentist.
• Write accurate notes and ensure chart notes match services.
• Educate patients and parents on good oral health and build rapport.
• Sterilize instruments and prepare workstations per OSHA standards.
• Keep the practice clean and presentable, including restrooms and lobby areas.
• Assist in other duties that support high-quality pediatric dental, vision, and orthodontic care.

Adventure Dental, Vision, & Orthodontics in Albuquerque, NM, is currently seeking a Dental Assistant to support the dentist and hygienist in providing high quality and compassionate care to all patients.

Pay range: $18-$24/hr (PLUS BONUS OPPORTUNITY)

Job Responsibilities

• Collect and document clear, concise, and accurate patient records
• Obtain quality dental radiographs (periapicals, bitewings, panoramic) as requested by the dentist
• Write accurate and consistent notes, ensuring chart notes match services completed
• Create a friendly relationship with patients and parents as well as educating them on good oral health
• Organize and sterilizing dental instruments and workstations per OSHA standards
• Ensure practice is clean and presentable to patients to include cleaning restrooms, patient lobby, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, etc.
• Participate in other duties that support the mission of providing high-quality and compassionate dental, vision, and orthodontic services to underserved children

Job Qualifications

• Radiology education and training that meets state requirements
• Strong interpersonal skills, including a friendly outgoing demeanor and the ability to actively listen to patients and parents
• Ability to multi-task and complete dental tasks correctly and in a timely manner
• Knowledge of e-Clinical Works (eCW) a plus
• Previous experience working in a dental office preferred
• Current BLS CPR certification
