Quince Orchard Dental Care in Gaithersburg, MD seeks a Full-time Dental Assistant to provide compassionate patient care and support to dentists during procedures. Duties include room prep, sterilization, radiography, charting, and patient education. Schedule is Monday–Thursday mornings and Friday mornings. Must have Maryland Radiology license and CPR certification.

Candidates should demonstrate professionalism, strong communication, and a team-oriented attitude in a patient-focused practice.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of dental assisting experience preferred.
• Maryland Radiology License required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare exam rooms, sterilize instruments, and ensure equipment is ready for dentists.

• Maintain patient records and assist with payment procedures.

The Dental Assistant “assists” our Dentist during a variety of dental procedures. Schedule: Monday - Thursday 6:50am-4:30pm, Friday 6:50am-2:30pm

Dental Assisting Job Responsibilities

• Preparing exam rooms, sterilizing instruments, and ensuring necessary equipment is ready for dentists
• Knowledge of general anatomy of the mouth and dental terms
• Understanding of crowns, fillings, extractions, root canals and implants
• Assisting dentists during procedures by handing them instruments and anticipating needs
• Taking and processing X-rays of patients
• Perform lab tasks as instructed
• Greeting patients as they arrive and scheduling appointments
• Advising patients on recommended oral hygiene
• Maintaining accurate patient records and assist with payment procedures
• Strong communications skills required to deliver oral hygiene and post-operative care instructions
• Handling general administrative and other duties to maintain the dental practice
• Adhere to OSHA guidelines, HIPAA Privacy Policy, and clinical operating procedures.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of Dental Assisting experience preferred
• Maryland Radiology License required
• Current CPR certification

• Guaranteed Hourly Rate, salary range $26 - $29 hourly
