Job summary

Bethesda Center for Family & Cosmetic Dentistry is seeking a Dental Assistant who can deliver high-quality care to every patient. The ideal candidate has empathy, patience, and a willingness to help others, and will assist the dentist during procedures while maintaining sterilization and room readiness.

Responsibilities include taking X-rays, greeting patients, scheduling, maintaining records, and guiding patients on oral hygiene. Strong communication and multitasking are essential for success.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of Dental Assisting experience preferred.
• X-ray Certified and familiar with dental terminology.
• Infection control and sterilization protocols knowledge.
• Proficiency with dental software (Dentrix, Eaglesoft, Open Dental).
• Strong communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Preparing exam rooms, sterilizing instruments, and ensuring equipment is ready for dentists.
• Taking and processing X-rays of patients.
• Greeting patients, scheduling appointments, and verifying records.
• Advising patients on recommended oral hygiene and post-operative care.
• Maintaining patient records and assisting with payment procedures.

The Dental Assistant “assists” our Dentist during a variety of dental procedures.
