Health Advocates Network, Inc. is seeking a dedicated Dental Assistant for Fairton, NJ. The role requires an active NJ license/certification and CPR, with at least one year of experience. You will support the Dental Officer in a busy clinical setting, ensuring accurate records and patient comfort.

• Prepare patients, instruments, medications, treatment rooms, and equipment; assist with patient flow and vital signs.
• Perform dental radiographs, charting, prophylaxis, restorations, and education.
• Maintain radiation safety and infection-control standards.

Shift Details

• 7:00 am-3:30 pm, with a 30 minute unpaid lunch period
• 40 hrs / week

Dental Assistant Duties & Responsibilities

• Assist the Dental Officer with restorative, oral surgery, periodontal, prosthetic, examination, and emergency procedures.
• Prepare patients, instruments, medications, treatment rooms, and equipment; assist with patient flow and vital signs.
• Perform dental/periodontal charting, screenings, oral prophylaxis, restorations, temporary fillings, and dental education.
• Take diagnostic dental radiographs and maintain radiation safety and infection-control standards.
• Assist with dentures, dental appliances, impressions, casts, and tooth shade selection under supervision.
• Clean, sterilize, maintain, and inspect dental instruments and equipment.
• Maintain accurate electronic/paper records, schedule care, track data, and protect confidentiality.
• Follow Federal/State, AAAHC, ACA, infection-control, and patient-safety standards.

Minimum Qualifications

• Current, valid, and unrestrictedNJ license/certification in good standing, as required for the position.
• Licensed Dentist and/or Certification from an accredited Dental Assistant school.
• Training must include dental radiology and radiology safety.
• Shall be certified in Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) in accordance with the American Red Cross or the American Heart Association
• Minimum of one (1) year of experience providing Dental Assistant services.
• Bilingual oral communication skills and experience in a clinical correctional setting are desirable
• Additional certifications may be required.
• Copy of current, completedPrimary Source Verification (PSV) from the appropriate licensing board or verification agency, if required.
• Copy of all current required certifications and compliance documents (e.g., .BLS, N95 fit test, immunization records, TB test, or other client-specific requirements).
