Job summary

Greenstein Dental in Clinton, Maryland is seeking a Dental Assistant to support our clinical team and providers with treatment. The role requires prior dental assisting experience and involves patient care, room setup, sterilization, and radiography support.

Qualifications

• Completion of a one-year certified dental assistant program.
• 2 years on-the-job-experience.
• Expanded Functions Dental Assistant - Preferred.
• X-Ray certification.
• Nitrous Oxide certification is highly recommended.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Clinical Support: Prepare treatment rooms, sterilize instruments, and assist dentists during procedures.
• Patient Care: Welcome, comfort, and educate patients on oral hygiene and post-treatment care.
• Radiography & Diagnostics: Take and develop X-rays, assist with impressions, and maintain study models.
• Compliance & Safety: Ensure infection control protocols, maintain patient confidentiality, and follow workplace regulations..
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation, including scheduling and patient intake (if needed)
• Helps dentist manage dental and medical emergencies by maintaining CPR certification, emergency drug and oxygen supply, and emergency telephone directory.

Education

One-year certified dental assistant program

2 years on-the-job experience

Expanded Functions Dental Assistant - Preferred

X-Ray certification

Nitrous Oxide certification is highly recommended

High school diploma or equivalent
