Job Description

Position: Certified Dental Assistant

Place of Performance: Dental Services at the FCC Hazelton, including USP, FCI, SFF, and SPC, Sky View Drive, Bruceton Mills, WV.

Schedule: Monday through Friday (except Federal holidays), 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM, with a 30-minute unpaid lunch.

Education and Experience

Must have specialty training from a licensed dentist or certification from an accredited Dental Assistant school, including dental radiology and radiology safety. Certification in CPR (American Red Cross or American Heart Association) is required.

Responsibilities

Perform duties according to accepted standards and methods within Dental Assistant Services, complying with all Federal and State policies and regulations. Adhere to standards of the Joint Commission and American Correctional Association Foundation/Core Standards for Adult Correctional Institutions. Work with a diverse inmate population. Collect, track, and enter data into electronic systems, and maintain patient records and confidentiality.
