Back Bay Periodontics & Dental Implants in Boston, MA is hiring a Periodontal Dental Assistant to support our periodontist and clinical team during surgical and nonsurgical procedures. You will help maintain a sterile environment and manage patient care from pre-op to post-op while ensuring smooth daily operations.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma, current BLS/CPR, strong attention to detail, excellent manual dexterity, and a collaborative, patient-focused approach.

Responsibilities

• Assisting the periodontist during periodontal and implant procedures.
• Performing preoperative and postoperative patient care duties.
• Preparing treatment rooms and maintaining a sterile clinical environment.
• Supporting an unobstructed operative field using suction, retractors, and irrigation.
• Preparing, inspecting, and sterilizing instruments and equipment.
• Obtaining and processing dental radiographs and imaging as needed.
• Monitoring patient comfort and status during procedures.
• Reviewing postoperative instructions and reinforcing care guidance with patients.
• Completing accurate clinical documentation and patient narratives.
• Coordinating supplies and equipment to ensure smooth daily operations.
• Supporting additional clinical responsibilities as assigned.
