Job summary

• Certification from a dental college or related experience preferred.
• X-ray and BLS certifications required.
• 8-hour Infection Control certification required.
• 2-hour Dental Practice Act certification required.

Responsibilities

• Assists the doctor in pediatric and general dental procedures.
• Takes x-rays.
• Takes IO's.
• Assist in Prophylaxis cleaning of teeth.
• Instructs patients on oral hygiene.
• Charts cavities and teeth with doctor.
• Sterilizes instruments.
• Sets up/breakdown and prepares rooms for treatment.
• Charting of patient's treatment and treatment plan with doctor.

The Dental Assistant supports our pediatric office by preparing treatment rooms, patients, instruments, and materials; passing instruments and materials; performing procedures in compliance with the dental standards of Arizona.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Assists the doctor in pediatric and general dental procedures
• Takes x-rays
• Takes IO's

Education and/or Experience

• Certification from a dental college OR three to six months related experience and/or training OR equivalent combination of education and experience, preferred

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations

• X-Ray certification
