Dental Associates of Northern Virginia in Annandale, VA seeks a part-time Dental Assistant to support the clinical team, prep treatment rooms, sterilize instruments, and assist dentists during procedures.

The ideal candidate has a one-year dental assistant program, X-ray certification, a high school diploma, and ongoing OSHA, HIPAA, CPR training. Typical hours: Tue 7:45–5 and Wed 6:45–3:30.

Responsibilities

• Clinical support: prepare treatment rooms, sterilize instruments, and assist dentists during procedures.
• Patient care: welcome, comfort, and educate patients on oral hygiene and post-treatment care.
• Radiography and diagnostics: take and develop X-rays, assist with impressions, and maintain study models.
• Compliance and safety: ensure infection control protocols, maintain patient confidentiality, and follow workplace regulations.
• Record-keeping: maintain accurate patient records and documentation, including scheduling and patient intake (if needed).
• Emergency readiness: assist dentist in emergencies by maintaining CPR certification, emergency drug and oxygen supply, and directory.
