Job summary

Stefanini Group in New York, NY is seeking a Denim Designer with 4+ years of apparel and denim experience. The role focuses on supporting wash execution, development, and cross-functional product creation from concept to proto, with heavy PLM and sample management responsibilities.

Qualifications

• 4+ years in Apparel Design with denim experience, men’s denim a must.
• Bachelor's degree or advanced degree in Fashion Design
• Strong understanding of denim construction, garment washes, and wash development.
• Hands-on experience with Centric PLM.
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite and Miro.
• Highly organized with attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

• Update sketches, BOMs, and product information in Centric PLM.
• Organize and prepare wash samples for review with documented comments.
• Maintain and update Miro boards, Visulon boards, and digital assortments.
• Organize and track proto samples throughout development.
• Support seasonal design development with accurate documentation and cross-functional communication.
• Maintain organized product, wash, and sample libraries for reviews and milestones.
• Participate in proto reviews, fit sessions, wash reviews, and milestone meetings; document feedback.

Work Location

• 4 days in office, Mondays or Fridays will be remote / work from home

Responsibilities

The Denim Designer with strong expertise in denim design, product development, and wash execution. This role will support the Denim Design Lead across seasonal development, wash management, PLM execution, and cross-functional product development from concept through proto.

Key Components of the role

• Update sketches, BOMs, and product information in Centric PLM.
• Organize and prepare wash samples for review, including documenting wash comments and supporting wash development.
• Assist in maintaining and updating Miro boards, Visulon boards, and digital assortment boards.
• Organize and track proto samples throughout the development process.
• Support seasonal design development by ensuring accurate documentation, sample tracking, and cross-functional communication.
• Maintain organized product, wash, and sample libraries to support design reviews and key milestones.
• Participate in proto reviews, fit sessions, wash reviews, and milestone meetings, documenting feedback and managing revisions.
• Participates in development and post-proto meetings to ensure feedback is clearly documented, communicated, and actioned across teams.
• Ensures alignment on key calendar milestones and proactively resolves potential delays.
• Prepares and presents compelling design boards and product reviews to design lead and cross-functional teams.

Job Requirements

Qualifications

• Experience: 4+ years in Apparel Design related experience, denim - men's experience a must.
• Education: Bachelor's degree or advanced degree in Fashion Design
• Strong understanding of denim construction, garment washes, and wash development.
• Hands-on experience with Centric PLM (required).
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign) and Miro.
• Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication skills and ability to partner cross-functionally with Design, Product Development, Merchandising, and vendors.
• 3D experience a plus.
