Job summary

athenahealth is seeking a Denials Inflow Prevention Associate to join the Denials Prevent and Inflow Mitigation team within our RCM Admin division. You will identify root causes of claim denials and partner across Operations, Product, and external Partners to drive prevention initiatives that improve revenue cycle performance.

The role requires strong analytical skills, project leadership, and the ability to influence cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• 3+ years in healthcare operations, revenue cycle, or related field.
• Experience analyzing claim denials and revenue cycle processes.
• Experience leading cross-functional projects and influencing stakeholders.
• Experience with internal/external customers to improve outcomes.
• Strong analytical, communication, and presentation skills; proficient in MS Office.
• Experience with Lean Six Sigma, Agile, and SQL preferred.

Responsibilities

• Analyze data to identify root causes of denials and operational challenges.
• Lead cross-functional initiatives to prevent denials and improve efficiency.
• Design and implement scalable process improvements emphasizing automation.
