Job summary

Privia Health is seeking an Accounts Receivable Manager to oversee medical AR operations, review denials, and optimize revenue cycle performance across physician practices. The role emphasizes collaboration with care centers and internal teams to ensure timely reimbursements.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years in medical billing, strong Excel/Sheets capabilities, and experience with athenaHealth or athenaOne, plus HIPAA compliance.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• 3+ years in medical billing or equivalent claims experience.
• Understand drivers of revenue cycle performance and resolve complex claims.
• Advanced Excel/Google Sheets skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, sorting/filtering).
• Experience with athenaHealth and/or athenaOne preferred.
• Experience working with AZ payers and providers preferred.
• HIPAA compliance required.

Responsibilities

• Manage accounts receivable (AR) aging and analyze root causes.
• Review and appeal insurance claim denials; follow up on aged claims.
• Make independent decisions on claim adjustments, resubmission, appeals and resolutions.
• Collaborate with internal teams (Performance, Operations, Sales).
• Support large care center go-lives, including possible overnight travel.
• Work with Revenue Optimization to ensure reimbursements align with payer contracts.
• Perform denial analysis and utilize the Trizetto platform as needed.
• Drive achievement of department KPIs.
