Job summary

United Ground Express at Denver International Airport is seeking a dedicated lavatory service technician to drive and operate a lavatory truck, perform daily equipment checks, and ensure compliance with airline and regulatory standards. You will handle lavatory and sanitary water systems safely and use PPE during responsibilities.

The role requires reading and interpreting loading instructions, weight balance data, and hazardous material labels; flexibility for day/night shifts and overtime; and

Qualifications

• 18+ years old
• Valid state driver’s license
• Must read, write and speak English fluently
• Must be able to operate a computer/tablet to enter and retrieve data
• Must be able to work a variety of physical activities (bend, stoop, climb)
• Must be able to read/interpret aircraft weight & balance loading instructions and hazard labels
• Eligibility to obtain credentials (FAA, TSA, Port Authority, U.S. Customs) per local requirements
• Legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship
• Able to work days/nights, weekends and holidays; overtime may be required
• Successful interview to meet job qualifications

Responsibilities

• Drive and operate a lavatory truck to service aircraft lavatories
• Use lavatory and sanitary water equipment to safely empty, flush, and fill aircraft systems per airline and regulatory requirements
• Complete Daily Equipment Checks and related checklists, including security searches
• Use personal protective equipment (face shield, hearing protection)
• Direct lift truck movement and positioning at the airport
• Follow safe universal precaution procedures for handling blood borne pathogens and hazardous waste
• Carry out other duties as assigned

• Use lavatory and sanitary water equipment to safely empty, flush, and fill aircraft systems according to airline and regulatory requirements
• Complete Daily Equipment Checks and associated checklists, including security searches
• Use personal protective equipment, including a face shield & hearing protection
• Direct lift truck movement and positioning in the airport
• Comprehend and execute defined safe universal precaution control procedures concerning handling blood borne pathogens and other hazardous waste.
• Use lavatory and sanitary water equipment to safely empty, flush, and fill aircraft systems according to airline and regulatory requirements.
• Carry out other duties as assigned.

Qualifications and minimum requirements

• Minimum of 18 years old
• Must possess a valid state issued driver’s license
• Excellent communication skills
• Must be able to read, write, and speak English fluently
• Ability to operate a computer/tablet to enter and retrieve data
• Must be willing and able to perform a variety of physical activities including, bending, stooping, climbing, and working in tight spaces
• Must be able to be alert to moving vehicles or aircraft and use radio equipment
• Must be able to read and interpret aircraft weight and balance loading instructions, hazardous material identification labels, aircraft loading manifests, and baggage and cargo routing tags
• Eligibility to obtain necessary credentials and clearances (FAA, TSA, Port Authority, U.S. Customs and U.S. Postal) per local requirements
• Legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship
• Must be able to work during day and night shifts, weekends, and holidays; mandatory overtime may be required based on operational need
• Successful completion of interview required to meet job qualifications
