Job summary

United Ground Express is seeking a dedicated ramp operations associate at Denver International Airport. You will remove trash, clean aircraft interiors, perform daily equipment checks and security tasks, and work with dispatchers and supervisors to ensure timely completion of assignments.

You’ll use radios and PPE to maintain safety, coordinate with airline staff, and report any incidents or issues. This role requires flexibility for day/night shifts, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

• 18 years old minimum.
• Valid state driver’s license.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Fluent reading, writing, and speaking English.
• Ability to operate a computer/tablet to enter and retrieve data.
• Able to perform physical activities including bending, stooping, climbing, and working in tight spaces.
• Able to stay alert to moving vehicles or aircraft and use radio equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret aircraft weight/balance loading instructions, hazardous material labels, manifests, and baggage routing tags.
• Eligibility to obtain necessary credentials/clearances (FAA, TSA, Port Authority, U.S. Customs and U.S. Postal) per local requirements.
• Legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
• Able to work day and night shifts, weekends, and holidays; overtime may be required.
• Successful completion of interview required to meet job qualifications.

Responsibilities

• Remove all trash from aircraft and clean/restock lavatories and magazines.
• Clean aircraft floor, galley, seats, pockets, and tray tables.
• Complete daily equipment checks and security searches.
• Use PPE including face shield and hearing protection.
• Oversee daily operations to ensure tasks are completed efficiently and thoroughly.
• Provide direction and coaching to employees as needed.
• Coordinate with Dispatchers and Supervisors to ensure assignments are followed.
• Communicate effectively with hub services agents.
• Report and process injuries, incidents, or customer service issues.
• Maintain professional relationships with staff, airlines, and airport authorities.
• Ensure safe, caring, dependable, and efficient operation at all times.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Clean aircraft floor, galley, all seats, seat back pockets, and tray tables
• Complete Daily Equipment Checks and associated checklists, including security searches
• Use personal protective equipment, including a face shield & hearing protection
• Manage the daily operation to ensure all assigned tasks are completed efficiently and thoroughly
• Provide direction, instruction and coaching to employees as needed
• Work closely with Dispatchers and Supervisors to ensure employee assignments are followed and completed correctly
• Effectively communicate with all hub services agents
• Ensure any injuries, incidents, accidents, and/or customer service issues are properly reported and processed
• Maintain professional working relationships with fellow employees, supervisors, managers, airline employees, and airport authorities
• Ensure the operation functions in a safe, caring, dependable and efficient manner at all times
• Perform other duties, as assigned

Qualifications and minimum requirements

• Minimum of 18 years old
• Must possess a valid state issued driver’s license
• Excellent communication skills
• Must be able to read, write, and speak English fluently
• Ability to operate a computer/tablet to enter and retrieve data
• Must be willing and able to perform a variety of physical activities including, bending, stooping, climbing, and working in tight spaces
• Must be able to be alert to moving vehicles or aircraft and use radio equipment
• Must be able to read and interpret aircraft weight and balance loading instructions, hazardous material identification labels, aircraft loading manifests, and baggage and cargo routing tags
• Eligibility to obtain necessary credentials and clearances (FAA, TSA, Port Authority, U.S. Customs and U.S. Postal) per local requirements
• Legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship
• Must be able to work during day and night shifts, weekends, and holidays; mandatory overtime may be required based on operational need
• Successful completion of interview required to meet job qualifications
