Job summary

Cumming Group is seeking a Construction Manager in Los Angeles, CA to lead demolition and site preparation on major projects. You will act as Owner's Representative, coordinating with city authorities, contractors, and environmental teams to ensure scope, schedule, and safety are met.

The role demands 7–10 years of CM experience, strong knowledge of hazardous materials abatement, and proven ability to manage multi-stakeholder communications and project controls.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field.
• 7–10 years of construction management experience.
• Experience with demolition projects and public works.
• Experience serving as Owner's Representative or Construction Manager.

Responsibilities

• Oversee demolition and site preparation from pre-construction to completion.
• Act as Owner's Representative and liaison with city, contractors, consultants, regulators, and stakeholders.
• Monitor scope, schedule, budget, quality, and safety.
• Coordinate hazardous materials abatement and environmental compliance requirements.
• Ensure protection of underground utilities during demolition operations.
• Review contractor work plans, submittals, RFIs, and change orders.
• Support project closeout and redevelopment transition.
