Job summary

Cumming Group seeks an experienced Construction Manager to lead demolition and site preparation from pre-construction to project closeout. You will act as Owner's Representative, coordinating with City authorities, contractors, consultants, and regulators.

The role requires 7–10 years in construction management, strong knowledge of hazardous material abatement and public works procedures, and proven ability to manage scope, schedule, and budget while ensuring safety and compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field.
• 7–10 years of construction management experience.
• Experience managing demolition projects and with public works/public agency projects.
• Experience overseeing hazardous materials abatement activities.
• Experience serving as Owner's Representative, Construction Manager, Resident Engineer, or similar role.

Responsibilities

• Oversee demolition and site preparation from pre-construction through project completion.
• Serve as Owner's Representative and liaison between City, contractors, consultants, and regulators.
• Monitor scope, schedule, budget, quality, and safety during the demolition phase.
• Coordinate hazardous materials identification, abatement activities, and environmental compliance.
• Protect and manage underground utilities during demolition operations.
• Review contractor work plans, schedules, RFIs, and change orders.
• Support budget tracking, cost forecasting, and contractor payment reviews.
• Assist in project closeout and redevelopment transition planning.
