Hyatt Hotel Canberra is seeking a passionate chef to join a dynamic kitchen team. You will assist in food preparation, manage your section, and uphold high standards of quality and presentation in a fast-paced, fine dining environment.

The role emphasizes collaboration with culinary colleagues, development of new dishes, and delivering exceptional guest experiences within a luxury hotel setting in Canberra.

Qualifications

• Recent experience in a la carte dining, preferably in hotels or fine dining.
• Strong culinary skills, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Attention to detail and a passion for food.
• Qualification in Kitchen Production
• Demonstrated in-depth skills and knowledge of kitchen operations
• Comprehensive knowledge of kitchen hygiene practices and occupational health and safety standards will be essential.
• A true desire to exceed guest expectations in a fast paced customer service environment

Responsibilities

• Assist in food preparation, cooking, and presentation of food items, following hotel's recipes and standards
• Take responsibility for your specific section of the kitchen, managing the daily operations and ensuring all tasks are completed efficiently
• Maintain high standards of food quality, taste, and presentation.
• Contribute to the creation and development of new dishes and menus, bringing innovative ideas and suggestions to the culinary team.
