Job summary

New Haven Assisted Living of Kerrville is seeking a caregiver to provide personal care and psychosocial support to residents, assist with activities of daily living, meals, and housekeeping. You will represent high standards of care and collaborate with staff to enrich residents' lives.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience as caregiver with dementia care required.
• Must be 18 or older.
• Able to pass criminal background checks.
• Able to lift more than 50 pounds as needed.
• Good health and reliable transportation.
• Effective written and verbal communication.
• Basic computer knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with ADLs including dressing, bathing, meals, and activities.
• Support residents and families; build relationships.
• Maintain daily records and report changes to supervisor.
• Encourage socialization and meaningful interactions.
• Attend monthly staff meetings and trainings.
• Administer medications after training and delegation.
• Handle resident and facility laundry.
• Housekeeping tasks: dusting, vacuuming, cleaning bathrooms.
