Job summary

New Haven Assisted Living of Kyle is seeking a dedicated Caregiver to provide compassionate care to residents, including assistance with daily living activities, housekeeping, meals, and social engagement. The role requires experience with dementia, ability to lift 50+ pounds, and reliable transportation.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or GED.
• Experience as a caregiver with dementia.
• Must be 18 years or older.
• Infection control training required; no communicable diseases.
• Familiarity with OSHA Bloodborne Pathogen standards.
• Must be able to lift 50+ pounds when assisting residents.
• Able to pass criminal background checks.
• In good health and reliable transportation.
• Compassionate, capable of high-quality resident care.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Basic computer knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs) including dressing and bathing.
• Housekeeping, cooking, and activities support.
• Develop relationships with residents and families.
• Maintain daily records and report changes to supervisor.
• Support socialization and engage residents in meaningful interactions.
• Attend staff meetings and training as needed.
• Administer medications as trained and delegated by nursing staff.
• Handle resident and facility laundry; light housekeeping tasks.
