Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in social work, nursing, therapeutic recreation, psychology, gerontology or related field preferred.
• Three years of direct dementia/patient care experience and/or family caregiver experience, or approval by the Nursing Home Administrator.
• Two years of supervisory experience in a healthcare setting.

Responsibilities

• Administer a Dementia Program that therapeutically addresses patients' physical, social, cultural, spiritual and intellectual needs.
• Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings to coordinate quality patient/resident care.
• Develop daily and monthly activity calendars and implement activities for the unit.
• Advocate for patients and families through education and support; manage admissions and discharges.
• Oversee the unit budget and monitor the Dementia Program's financial performance.
