Job summary

Brookdale is seeking a Clare Bridge Program Assistant in Topeka, KS to support person-centered dementia programs and resident engagement. You will work with the Program Manager to implement activity calendars, coordinate events, and ensure programs meet Brookdale standards.

Qualifications include a High School Diploma or equivalent; an Associates Degree is preferred, plus at least one year of experience with older adults/dementia. A valid driver’s license is required.

Qualifications

• Associates Degree preferred.
• Minimum one year of previous experience with older adults and persons with dementia preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist Clare Bridge Program Manager or Coordinator in leading and implementing a calendar of person centered dementia friendly programs.
• Engage residents in meaningful and purposeful dementia care activities within the Brookdale community.
• Review residents' service plans and document programs as required by Brookdale standards or state requirements.
• Ensure dementia care programs comply with state, federal, and Brookdale policies and standards.
• Coordinate and participate in special events at the community and communicate with residents and families.
• Support volunteers and assist with personal care, housekeeping and dietary responsibilities as needed.
