Job summary

Mason Wright Senior Living is seeking an Activities Assistant to help design and lead engaging programs for dementia residents. The role supports planning, outings, and decorating for holidays, while ensuring safety and smooth activity flow.

Responsibilities include supervising participants, observing health changes, and maintaining activity supplies. The position requires 1–2 years in elder care, strong communication, and a cooperative, cheerful attitude.

Qualifications

• Must have 1 to 2 years of experience working with the elderly and/or dementia/alzheimer's populations.
• Experience providing programs or services to the elderly.
• Must be responsible, organized, and dependable with the ability to communicate effectively with senior citizens and their families.
• MS Office skills are required.
• Must be flexible, a good team player, and able to work some evenings and weekend hours.
• Must have patience, tact, a cheerful disposition, and enthusiasm.
• Must be able to express oneself clearly, verbally, and in writing.
• An associate's or bachelor's degree is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Help create fun, engaging daily programs for dementia residents.
• Assist with planning and leading activities.
• Transport residents to community outings.
• Support calendar preparation and decorate for holidays and special events.
• Supervise and assist residents during activities and monitor changes in health or mental status.
• Maintain organized activity supplies and inventory.
