Job summary

Morningside House Senior Living is seeking a Memory Care Activities Coordinator / Assistant Memory Care Coordinator to plan, coordinate, and lead engaging activities for residents with dementia. You will also assist the Memory Care Director with select administrative tasks and daily caregiving as needed.

Available schedule Sunday-Thursday, 8am-4pm. The role offers opportunities to grow into leadership, work closely with nursing and life enrichment teams, and provide meaningful experiences for

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• At least 1 year of experience in activities planning or dementia care.
• Compassionate, patient demeanor with strong communication and organizational skills.
• Creative mindset to engage residents at varying cognitive levels.

Responsibilities

• Plan and lead daily activities for residents with dementia.
• Lead group and one-on-one engagement with games, music, crafts, and more.
• Build relationships and encourage participation.
• Coordinate event setup, decorations, and holiday programming.
• Support nursing, caregiving, dining, and life enrichment teams.
• Provide direct care when needed.
• Maintain activity calendars and participation records.
• Assist with department organization and scheduling.
• Observe resident behavior changes and report to leadership.
• Foster a safe, welcoming environment for residents and staff.
• Pursue ongoing training and leadership development.
