Job summary

Howmet Aerospace Inc. in Branford, CT is seeking a Demask and Blast Operator for the 2nd shift. This role removes masking, performs water wash and internal flushing, and operates grit blasting equipment to clean and prepare components for masking.

You will follow work instructions, inspect parts for cleanliness, maintain a clean, safe work area, and document procedures in routers and logs. The position includes a 2nd shift schedule (2:30pm–11:00pm) with a $2/hour shift differential and a sign-on

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Must be able to read and write in English.
• Authorized to work in the United States; visa sponsorship not available.
• Export-controlled data access restrictions apply.

Responsibilities

• Demask operations to remove masking using fixtures, blocks or hand tools.
• Internal cleaning by flushing and water washing to remove masking and debris.
• Clean surfaces and crevices with brushes and tools.
• Operate grit blasting equipment to obtain uniform finishes.
• Adjust blasting machines and grit flow to meet specifications.
• Inspect parts before and after processing for cleanliness.
• Organize demasked cups and bottoms for next steps.
• Complete routers, logs and records accurately.
• Maintain a clean, organized work area in a 6S-compliant environment.
• Adhere to safety procedures and wear protective equipment.
• Cross-train and assist in related wash/blast operations.
