Summary

Cleans parts and applies various types of masking to prevent unpermitted blast, peen, spray, lube, or paint overspray.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Masks hardware with various types of masking to prevent overspray.
• Cleans the part to ensure the part is clean enough to allow masking and coatings to adhere or to allow effective peening of substrates.
• As applicable, uses tools to deburr the part prior to masking to allow complete coverage of coating and prevent delamination.
• Inspects the part to verify all characteristics for which he/she is responsible before signing the router and forwarding to subsequent operations.

Education, Experience

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
• No experience necessary. Training will be provided.
• Mathematical Skills - Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
• Must be a U.S. Person due to ITAR and export control procedures.
