Demand Planning, Supply Chain Manager

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Demand Planning, Supply Chain Manager will support and/or develop production and supply plans for Clinical and/or Commercial products to satisfy project objectives, while maintaining inventory costs and managing supply risk. Responsible for creating and maintaining a Master Supply Plan, effectively communicating with Chemistry Manufacturing Control (CMC) colleagues, cross departmental stakeholders, and external vendors.

This position has the potential to be fully remote. Occasional travel will be required for in-person meetings.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manage demand planning & supply forecasting for Active Pharmaceutical Ingredient (API), Investigational Medicinal Product (IMP) and Commercial Finished Goods (FGs).
  • Ensure timely provision of packed and labeled IMP and/or FGs by coordinating shipping and logistics activities, including management of shipments of supplies between storage depots.
  • Maintain reporting for inventory on-hand, consumption, movements, lot and expiry tracking for all locations where IMP and/or FGs inventory are stored.
  • Understand, maintain, and troubleshoot the IMP functionality of Interactive Response Technology (IRT) systems. Reviewing Specifications, User Requirement documents, performing User Acceptance Testing and administrative tasks for go-live and future enhancements.
  • Monitor supply inventory levels at storage depots and interface with Clinical Operations, CMC team, and Contract Manufacturing Organizations (CMOs) to maintain continuous supply availability.
  • Communicate and collaborate with Clinical Operations on a routine basis to understand the current and future scope of clinical studies and convey the clinical supplies need to CMC for the purpose of planning future manufacturing, packaging, and labeling.
  • Support outsourcing to external vendors, Contract Manufacturing Organizations (CMOs), Contract Clinical Distributors (CCDs) and Interactive Response Technology (IRT) systems to ensure that labeling, packaging, and shipping are in compliance with company SOPs and applicable regulations through direct communication with the vendors.
  • Participate in development of approvals of technical documents such as clinical label text, IRT User Manuals, and Pharmacy Manuals.
  • Generation and/or review of procedures as applicable to demand planning and/or supply chain operations.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • BA or BS in a Science or Logistics field or equivalent experience in supply chain.
  • Previous experience with demand planning in the clinical supplies or commercial supplies is required.
  • Minimum 5+ years experience preferred.
  • Must be able to achieve deliverables with high precision.
  • Ability to work independently on projects within a team-oriented environment.
  • Innovative thinker with ability to solve complex problems.
  • Knowledgeable and compliant to regulations and requirements for functioning under GMP, GDP, and GCP’s.
  • Knowledge of IRT system use and development.
  • Strong knowledge of supply chain processes, including manufacturing, logistics, procurement, and quality.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to effectively communicate with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple activities simultaneously and meet deadlines.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:
