A leading company in the manufacturing sector is seeking a Demand Planning Analyst to enhance operational efficiency at their Delaware, Ohio facility. The role involves demand forecasting, data analysis, and collaboration across departments to ensure optimal inventory management. Candidates should have a strong background in demand planning and data analytics, with a bachelor's degree in a related field.
As a Demand Planning Analyst, you will provide accurate demand forecasting, optimizing inventory levels, and enhancing overall operational efficiency. Reporting directly to the Demand Planning Manager onsite at our Delaware, Ohio manufacturing facility. You will collaborate with teams to analyze data, communicate forecasts, and lead process improvements.
Key Responsibilities
Use your expertise in demand planning and data analytics to develop accurate forecasts for product demand based on historical data, market trends, and customer insights.
Collaborate with several departments, including sales, marketing, and production, to gather input, understand requirements, and align demand plans with our goals.
Analyze large datasets and use statistical techniques to identify patterns, trends, and anomalies. Translate data findings into relevant insights to optimize inventory levels and ensure product availability.
Develop an understanding of our products, market dynamics, and industry trends. Use this knowledge to provide recommendations and contribute to business decision-making processes.
Identify opportunities to refine demand planning processes, enhance forecasting accuracy, and optimize inventory management. Implement process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce costs.
Foster a collaborative work environment by and building relationships with partners at all levels. Work to align goals, ensuring a cohesive and coordinated approach to demand planning.
Qualifications
Demand Planning or Data Analytics Experience: experience in demand planning, data analysis, or related roles, with experience managing demand forecasts and optimizing inventory.
Proficient in demand forecasting methodologies, statistical analysis, and forecasting tools. Create accurate demand forecasts and interpret forecast accuracy metrics.
Demonstrated experience identifying process inefficiencies, implementing process improvements, and in demand planning or related areas.
Familiarity with ERP (Oracle or SAP): Experience working with ERP systems, Oracle or SAP.
Proficiency in using ERP functionalities for data analysis, reporting, and demand planning activities.
Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Business Analytics, Data Science, or related field.
