Job description

As a Demand Planning Analyst, you will provide accurate demand forecasting, optimize inventory levels, and enhance overall operational efficiency. This position reports directly to the Demand Planning Manager at our Delaware, Ohio manufacturing facility. You will collaborate with various teams to analyze data, communicate forecasts, and lead process improvements.

Key Responsibilities

1. Develop accurate product demand forecasts using historical data, market trends, and customer insights, leveraging your expertise in demand planning and data analytics.

2. Collaborate with sales, marketing, and production departments to gather inputs, understand requirements, and align demand plans with company goals.

3. Analyze large datasets with statistical techniques to identify patterns, trends, and anomalies; translate findings into insights to optimize inventory and ensure product availability.

4. Gain a thorough understanding of our products, market dynamics, and industry trends to inform recommendations and support business decision-making.

5. Identify opportunities for process refinement, improve forecasting accuracy, and optimize inventory management; implement efficiency-driven process improvements.

6. Build strong relationships across teams to foster a collaborative environment and ensure aligned demand planning strategies.

Qualifications

• Experience in demand planning, data analysis, or related roles, including managing demand forecasts and inventory optimization.

• Proficiency in demand forecasting methodologies, statistical analysis, and relevant tools, with the ability to interpret forecast accuracy metrics.

• Experience in identifying and implementing process improvements within demand planning or related areas.

• Familiarity with ERP systems such as Oracle or SAP, including data analysis, reporting, and demand planning functionalities.

• Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, Business Analytics, Data Science, or a related field.
