Job summary

Quanex Building Products Corporation in Irving, TX is seeking a Demand Planner to develop and maintain sales forecasts for assigned products. You will analyze demand trends, collaborate with Sales, Customers, and Product Management, and lead forecast reviews to improve accuracy.

You will partner with Master Planners to align demand with production capacity and inventory objectives, support new product launches, and manage changes to the forecast across plants.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or 7 years in scheduling, inventory, production, or manufacturing.
• Proficient in Excel, SAP ERP, and forecasting tools.
• Ability to create forecasts using multiple models.
• Advanced knowledge of supply chain operations and demand management.

Responsibilities

• Manages the forecast for a set of products.
• Updates the forecast tool with the latest information for demand.
• Communicates demand information across plants for visibility of volume and metrics.
• Coordinates changes to the forecast and runs forecast models to assess impact on Operations.
• Runs metrics around forecast accuracy and improves the forecast/demand review process.
• Collaborates with Master Schedulers and Supply Chain Managers to align demand with production.
• Manages customer planning programs with Sales and Customer Service.
