Job summary

Quanex Building Products Corp. in Irving, TX seeks a Demand Planner to develop and maintain sales forecasts for assigned products, collaborating with Sales, Customers, and Product Management to align demand with production capacity.

You will lead forecast reviews, track forecast accuracy, and support new product launches and phase-outs. Partnering with Master Schedulers, you will help ensure supply meets demand in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or 7 years experience in scheduling, inventory control, production or manufacturing is required.
• Proficient in Excel and ERP systems (SAP preferred) with forecasting tools.
• Able to create forecasts using various models and calculations.

Responsibilities

• Manages the forecast for a set of products.
• Updates the forecast tool with the latest information for demand.
• Communicates demand information across plants for visibility of volume and metrics.
• Coordinates forecast change requests and runs forecast models to assess impact on operations.
• Runs metrics on forecast accuracy and improves forecast/review processes.
• Collaborates with Master Schedulers and Supply Chain Managers to implement demand at production level.
• Manages customer planning programs with Sales and Customer Service.
