Job summary

Nokian Tyres plc is seeking a Demand Planner to forecast regional demand across product lines and align it with global planning processes. You will collaborate with sales, marketing and product development to build a consensus forecast that supports service and inventory targets.

The role emphasizes SKU-level forecasting, trend analysis, and collaboration with the global team to minimize stockouts and optimize inventory while enabling successful product introductions and transitions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, Operations Management or related field.
• 2–4 years relevant work experience; automotive industry experience a plus.
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
• Able to communicate complex data effectively across various organizational levels.
• Proficient with MS-Office application suite; advanced / expert skill level with MS-Excel.
• Previous experience with Relex demand forecasting software preferred.
• Commitment to excellence, continuous improvement mindset.
• Ability to travel up to 20% (domestic and international).

Job description

Reporting to the Supply Chain Planning Manager, the Demand Planner will be responsible for forecasting activities associated with the regional customer base and product lines. He/She will ensure regional demand is accurately reflected in the overall global planning and forecasting process. The Demand Planner will collaborate with sales, marketing and product development in order to establish a consensus forecast that enables the business to meet targeted service and inventory objectives.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and adjust SKU level demand plan by analyzing sales trends and applying appropriate forecast modeling.
• Understand the product / regional dynamics including shifts in demand, seasonality, promotional activity, lifecycle planning, etc. to continually improve forecast accuracy.
• Collaborate with product development on forecast for new products, product transitions, and the phasing out of retiring products.
• Work closely with the global demand planning team and customer service organization to identify and resolve out of stock issues, focusing on minimizing shortage occurrences through data analysis and safety stock review.
• Identify excess and obsolete inventory in order to recommend disposition.
• Monitor the sales performance of new products and develop a history that can be used as a guide for future product launches.
• Uphold Nokian mission and values, and demonstrate supporting behaviors in day-to-day actions.
