Job summary

Siemens Energy in Charlotte, NC is seeking a Demand Planner to support Engine Assembly scheduling and materials planning. You will interface with SAP to ensure materials are picked, confirmed, and staged for production, and assist in work center scheduling and capacity planning.

You will collaborate with shop floor teams, monitor demand, coordinate schedules and logistics, and help resolve bottlenecks. A strong Excel and analytical mindset is essential.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2 years of manufacturing experience in scheduling, production control, line supervision, industrial engineering, or a related field.
  • Associate degree, skilled trade certification, or equivalent relevant experience required; bachelor's degree (BS/BA) preferred.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
  • Strong analytical and decision‑making skills, with the ability to evaluate options and determine appropriate solutions.
  • Demonstrated team‑oriented mindset with a commitment to achieving shared objectives and organizational goals.
  • Proven ability to work in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment while managing multiple priorities and deadlines.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and analyze production strategies, capacity plans, capital initiatives, and production requirements to support operational goals.
  • Manage SAP planning activities, including MRP, conflict resolution, labor hour validation, and operational reporting.
  • Monitor customer demand and coordinate production schedules, material logistics, and work center planning to ensure on‑time delivery.
  • Partner with shop floor support teams to ensure tools, materials, and critical information are available to maintain production flow.
  • Drive resolution of production issues, bottlenecks, and non‑conformance rework through daily operational reviews and cross‑functional collaboration.
  • Generate performance metrics and production reports, track results against operating plans, and leverage advanced Excel skills to support data‑driven decision‑making.
