Job description

The Demand Planner plays a critical role in developing and maintaining accurate item and plant level demand forecasts to support inventory, sales, and operational planning. This role works closely with cross-functional teams to align demand plans with business objectives and ensure product availability to meet customer needs. The Demand Planner will support decision-making through analysis and collaboration with Sales, Operations, and Finance.

Job Responsibilities

1. Assist in the creation and presentation of regular SIOP meetings with Sales, Operations, Finance, and Executive teams.
2. Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, and Fulfillment to create reliable monthly forecasts for all Trailer business units.
3. Partner with Operations to ensure demand forecasts support production capacity and supply chain planning.
4. Work with Scheduling and Fulfillment teams to align demand signals with inventory availability and customer delivery goals.
5. Analyze forecast variances, identify root causes, and recommend adjustments to improve forecast accuracy.
6. Support supply chain optimization by aligning demand plans with production strategy and network capabilities.
7. Track and report key demand planning metrics and KPIs.
8. Champion a customer-focused mindset through strong, collaborative relationships with internal and external partners.
9. Assist with ad hoc analysis and reporting to support strategic business initiatives.

Minimum Job Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience preferred.
• + 3 years of experience in SIOP, Demand Planning, Production Planning, or Merchandise Planning.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Power BI.
• Strong analytical, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Excellent time management and problem-solving abilities.
