Your Job

Come join us at Molex as a Global Demand Planner!

You will be the owner of Demand Forecast for assigned products, responsible for generating and driving the Global Unconstrained Demand Forecast, incorporating Business Projections from Product Management, Sales, and your own analysis. This role supports the CCS (Consumer and Commercial Solutions) team, specifically the PSBU Business Unit. You will collaborate with internal/external customers to provide the most accurate short and long-term (1-24 months) forecast to the Supply Team, focusing on value creation, profitability, and forecast accuracy. You should be able to explain forecast gaps to management and internal customers during fluctuations. Understand marketing and sales activities, and adjust forecasts accordingly to minimize excess inventory of finished goods and raw materials. Work closely with the Supply Planning Team to identify and address supply shortfalls proactively.

What You Will Do
  1. Utilize a collaborative approach with Sales, Marketing, and Product Managers to develop accurate mid to long-term demand forecasts.
  2. Review sales trends, research demand drivers, prepare forecast data, develop statistical forecast models, and evaluate results.
  3. Coordinate research activities to reconcile variances and refine forecast models based on updated sales and marketing assumptions.
  4. Load and validate updated demand forecasts in the appropriate environment (e.g., Kinaxis), using historical data, statistical outputs, OEM forecasts, market trends, and actual customer figures.
  5. Manage part number transitions by providing detailed information and applying supersession treatments.
  6. Communicate changes in customer master data to the Master Data Coordinator to ensure accurate reporting.
  7. Analyze forecast errors to identify causes and drive continuous improvement.
  8. Use KPIs, forecast accuracy calculations, comet charts, and month-over-month reports to improve future forecasts.
  9. Monitor key issues like capacity constraints and customer impacts, and escalate to stakeholders as needed.
  10. Engage with Product and Project managers regarding EOL and ramp-up phases.
  11. Drive the utilization of forecasting methodologies, processes, and software.
  12. Implement process improvements to reduce forecast errors and bias.
  13. Support customer replenishment efforts and communicate opportunities and risks to Supply Chain groups.
  14. Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
  • Bachelor's Degree or higher, preferably in Supply Chain Management, Economics, Finance, or Business Management.

  • Experience or understanding of Sales, S&OP, or Supply Chain Management.
  • Proficient in Excel.
What Will Put You Ahead
