Job summary

Commonwealth Associates seeks a Deltek Vantagepoint expert who combines SQL Server mastery with strong business sense. You will own Deltek Vantagepoint configuration, security, and day-to-day administration, support releases, and drive data integrity across the ERP ecosystem.

As the company grows through acquisitions, you’ll lead M&A integrations and system migrations, map data, validate results, and ensure seamless transitions to Deltek.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
• 5+ years working in Deltek Vantagepoint in a functional/technical role with firsthand system ownership.
• Deep knowledge of Deltek Vantagepoint and SQL Server data modeling and integration.
• Strong understanding of data models and integration patterns (APIs, flat-file exchanges, scheduled jobs).
• Experience supporting integrations with HRIS/Payroll, CRM, and BI platforms.
• Business acumen in finance/accounting flows (projects, billing, revenue recognition, close).
• Advanced diagnostic and troubleshooting across applications, data, and integration layers.

Responsibilities

• Own Deltek Vantagepoint: configuration, administration, security, and daily support.
• Manage release cycles: impact assessments, testing, configuration, upgrades, patches, features, deployments.
• Analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve functional and system issues; coordinate with vendors when needed.
• Design and maintain database objects, reports, integrations, and data quality processes.
• Develop and optimize T-SQL queries, views, and stored procedures for reporting and integrations.
• Manage data across Deltek and connected systems (HRIS, CRM, payroll, data warehouse, BI).
• Lead data migration initiatives with mapping, validation, testing, and auditability.
• Oversee M&A integrations: due diligence, assessments, roadmaps, and full system migration into Deltek.
• Partner with Finance, IT, and consultants to ensure business continuity and minimal disruption.
• Promote data quality, security, and governance; support vendor relationships and budget planning.
• Create documentation and deliver training to drive user adoption.
