Job summary

Proconex is seeking a field service engineer to lead DeltaV upgrades, migration planning, and on-site support across multiple sites. You will build and modify controls graphics, assist with server design, virtualization, and I/O networking for VM environments.

You will hold a Bachelor's in a related field with 3 years of automation experience, including DCS, Windows apps, DeltaV, AMS DMA, and backup/recovery. Expect monthly travel to PA, NJ, DE, MD, VA, WV and after-hours support as needed.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Electronic/Chemical/CS or related field and 3 years of experience.
Experience with installation, commissioning, preventative maintenance, and modernization of plant automation systems.
Familiarity with Distributed Control Systems and Windows-based software.
Knowledge of DeltaV, DeltaV Mobile, AMS DMA, and backup/recovery processes.
Design, documentation, virtualization, I/O loop, and fieldbus networking knowledge.

Responsibilities

Lead upgrades to DeltaV, including migration plans and graphics/database migrations.
Perform server and networking design for VM environments and on-site support.
Travel monthly to PA, NJ, DE, MD, VA, and WV for site work.
Provide after-hours support for contract customers with on-call pager coverage.
Develop system reports and collaborate with Service Manager to identify service opportunities.
Represent field service in project meetings and ensure tickets are resolved.
Coordinate factory/site acceptance testing and commissioning activities.
