DeltaV/PLC Senior Automation Engineer (Onsite)

Our practice is seeking a highly qualified DeltaV/PLC Senior Automation Engineer with experience in developing and building impactful, scalable, enterprise applications.

Salary and Compensation

The annual salary depends on experience and qualifications of the successful candidate.

This position is eligible for Cognizant's discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to plan terms.

Responsibilities

• Design, program, and configure DeltaV systems, PLCs, SCADA, and related software.
• Provide technical support to customers, engineers, and collaborators.
• Develop technical documents, including design specifications, user manuals, and operational procedures.
• Develop and implement automation strategies for industrial process control systems.
• Maintain and upgrade existing control systems.
• Participate in project management and coordination.
• Supervise and analyze system performance.
• Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and quality standards.
• Apply proven practices, standards, and procedures related to automation systems.
• Stay updated on evolving automation technologies.
• Work in a shift rotation operating 24x7x365.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years relevant automation experience in the life sciences manufacturing sector.
• Strong knowledge of DeltaV systems, PLCs, SCADA, and related software.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
• Flexibility to work in a 24x7x365 shift rotation.
