Job summary

John H. Carter Company seeks an experienced engineer to install and maintain distributed control systems (DCS) and safety instrumented systems (SIS). You will analyze requirements for installation, commissioning, and inspections, troubleshoot, and manage customer needs with strong computer skills and critical thinking.

Travel to remote sites is required. Responsibilities include DCS/SIS support, software design and upgrades, FAT/comissioning, and coordinating with sales to grow service

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in CS/Engineering/IT or related field.
5 years of experience in process control and automation projects.
Experience with DCS and/or PLC systems configuration and commissioning.
Programming experience with a modern DCS language; knowledge of DeltaV and AMS Device Manager.

Responsibilities

Provide DCS and SIS technical support services to customers.
Design, install, test, and upgrade control software and hardware.
Perform FAT, commissioning, loop checkout, and startup support.
Travel to remote customer sites; on-call after hours; some overtime and shift-work.
