Engtal is seeking a DeltaV Automation Engineer in Houston to own complex process automation projects from concept to commissioning. You will lead the Emerson DeltaV configuration and testing, while coordinating with clients and internal teams to deliver on-time, high-impact solutions.
Ideal candidates have 5+ years in automation and DeltaV, with experience in process manufacturing and strong communication skills for client-facing roles.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of automation and process controls experience.
- Strong Emerson DeltaV experience in configuration, commissioning, and troubleshooting.
- Experience in process manufacturing environments such as chemicals, life sciences, or pharma.
Responsibilities
- Lead design, configuration, and implementation of Emerson DeltaV control systems across projects.
- Deliver automation projects from kick-off through commissioning, FAT/SAT, and start-up support.
- Develop control strategies, graphics, alarms, historian integration, and batch functionality.
- Support upgrades, migrations, and modernization efforts.
- Act as technical lead with clients, vendors, and internal teams.
- Troubleshoot complex controls and process issues during commissioning and plant support.
- Manage scope, timelines, and deliverables; mentor junior engineers.
