Job summary

TRC Talent Solutions is partnering with a leading industrial automation provider to hire a DeltaV Automation Engineer in San Juan, Puerto Rico. You will design, implement, commission, and qualify Emerson DeltaV control systems for process manufacturing clients.

The ideal candidate has hands-on DeltaV experience, strong engineering fundamentals, and the ability to work in GMP environments while collaborating with project teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related discipline.
• 2–8 years in industrial automation or process control.
• Hands-on with Emerson DeltaV control systems.
• Strong control system design, configuration & programming.
• Experience in GMP-regulated environments.
• Fluent in English and Spanish.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with engineers, designers, clients, and project teams to deliver advanced automation and control system solutions.
• Define functional requirements and develop Emerson DeltaV Distributed Control System (DCS) configurations.
• Create engineering documentation, control architectures, electrical panel designs, and wiring drawings in accordance with GMP standards.
• Review and update P&ID documentation.
• Execute system testing, commissioning, startup, and qualification activities.
• Lead project teams consisting of engineers and technicians to successfully complete automation projects.
• Mentor and support junior engineers.
• Develop and maintain engineering standards and best practices.
• Support business development and sales teams with technical expertise during client engagements and proposal development.
• Ensure project deliverables meet quality, safety, and regulatory requirements.

• 2-8 years of experience in industrial automation, controls, or process control systems.
• Hands-on experience with Emerson DeltaV control systems.
• Strong understanding of control system design, configuration, and programming.
• Experience working within Microsoft Windows environments.
• Strong communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States without current or future sponsorship.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish.
• Experience working in GMP-regulated manufacturing environments.
• Life sciences, pharmaceutical, or biotechnology industry experience.
• Experience supporting system commissioning, validation, and qualification activities.
