Job summary
TRC Talent Solutions is partnering with a leading industrial automation provider to hire a DeltaV Automation Engineer in San Juan, Puerto Rico. You will design, implement, commission, and qualify Emerson DeltaV control systems for process manufacturing clients.
The ideal candidate has hands-on DeltaV experience, strong engineering fundamentals, and the ability to work in GMP environments while collaborating with project teams.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or related discipline.
- 2–8 years in industrial automation or process control.
- Hands-on with Emerson DeltaV control systems.
- Strong control system design, configuration & programming.
- Experience in GMP-regulated environments.
- Fluent in English and Spanish.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with engineers, designers, clients, and project teams to deliver advanced automation and control system solutions.
- Define functional requirements and develop Emerson DeltaV Distributed Control System (DCS) configurations.
- Create engineering documentation, control architectures, electrical panel designs, and wiring drawings in accordance with GMP standards.
- Review and update P&ID documentation.
- Execute system testing, commissioning, startup, and qualification activities.
- Lead project teams consisting of engineers and technicians to successfully complete automation projects.
- Mentor and support junior engineers.
- Develop and maintain engineering standards and best practices.
- Support business development and sales teams with technical expertise during client engagements and proposal development.
- Ensure project deliverables meet quality, safety, and regulatory requirements.
