Job summary

BC Tech Pro in Hillside, IL is seeking a Computer Field Technician to perform hardware repairs and installations on laptop and desktop units. You must have prior experience with laptop and desktop hardware. Dell and Lenovo certifications are provided during onboarding.

This is a 1099 contract role with pay based on tickets completed, typically 2–5 tickets per day. You will replace hardware for Dell and Lenovo warranty services, log into a portal daily, and arrange onsite visits with customers.

Qualifications

• Experience with laptop and desktop hardware repairs and installations.
• Must have reliable transportation to perform onsite calls.
• Access to a computer and the internet to log onto your portal.

Responsibilities

• Perform hardware repairs and installations on laptops and desktops.
• Complete hardware part replacements for Dell and Lenovo warranty services.
• Log into the tech portal daily by 9 am to accept tickets, update status, and map calls.
• Coordinate on-site visits with customers and confirm service windows.
• Parts provided by manufacturers; use FedEx for pickup and return of removed parts.
