Job summary

East Bay Restaurant Supply, Inc. in Oakland, CA is seeking a Delivery Person to handle local deliveries and assist the warehouse team.

You will maintain contact with the Warehouse Delivery Center to receive dispatches, support shipping and receiving, and help keep equipment and aisles organized. Qualified candidates will have forklift or order picker experience, a clean DMV record, basic computer skills, and the ability to lift heavy items and work safely in a team.

Qualifications

• Must pass a drug test and maintain a clean DMV report.
• Forklift and/or order picker experience required.
• Knowledgeable in safely securing equipment on the delivery trucks.
• Basic computer literacy.
• Reliable, safety-minded, and able to work effectively in a team environment.
• Experience in driving a 26' bobtail truck W/ Lift gate.
• Capable of lifting equipment up stairs.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate in English.
• Must be able to understand and follow instructions while working collaboratively with supervisors and team members.
• Delivery Experience preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Receive, ship, and process orders accurately and efficiently.
• Operate forklifts and order pickers safely (certification preferred).
• Palletize orders; load and unload trucks.
• Maintain attention to detail in all tasks to ensure accuracy.
• Utilize computers and warehouse systems for inventory and order tracking.
• Perform general housekeeping to maintain a safe and organized work environment.
• Comply with all safety standards and company policies.
• Required to assist in offloading of stainless equipment (Various Shapes & Sizes).
