Job summary

Crawford Electric Supply in Decatur, AL is seeking a Driver-Warehouse Associate to support on-time deliveries, safe loading, and daily warehouse operations. You will pick, load, and ship materials, verify freight, and process payments where applicable.

The role requires a valid license, ability to pass a DOT physical, and at least 6 months of related experience. A high school diploma and PIT certification are preferred. This is a full-time position with opportunities within the Sonepar network.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license and ability to pass DOT physical.
• 6+ months related experience or training; or equivalent education.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• PIT proficiency; reach truck, order picker; current certification a plus.
• Ability to lift up to 30 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Ensure good customer relations through consistent on time deliveries and courteous, professional conduct.
• Transport and delivery of goods in a timely manner.
• Pick material for orders, load material, and manifest ship tickets.
• Properly and safely secure loads and assure weights are within vehicle limits.
• Verify counts and condition of freight.
• Make reports of overages, shortages and damages as needed.
• Prepares receipts for load pickup or delivery.
• Collects payments for goods delivered and for delivery charges.
• Maintain telephone or radio contact with manager for delivery instructions.
• Fuel truck and restock materials daily; perform warehouse duties when not delivering.
• Clean and maintain work areas and participate in inventory.
• Adhere to all processes and company policies.
