Job summary

Crawford Electric Supply in Clarksville, TN is hiring a Driver-Warehouse Associate to support on-time deliveries and warehouse operations. You will transport goods, load and secure shipments, verify freight, and communicate with the manager for delivery instructions.

The role requires a valid driver’s license, DOT physical eligibility, and 6 months of related experience. You’ll perform warehouse duties when not delivering and ensure safe operation of equipment and loads.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license meeting Crawford requirements.
• Ability to obtain and pass a DOT physical.
• Six months or more related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Basic reading, writing, and arithmetic skills required.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• PIT proficiency; reach truck, order picker, “sit down” propane. Current certification a plus.
• Manual dexterity required for operating machinery and handling small parts.
• Ability to lift up to 30 pounds.
• VEHICLE OPERATION: safe operation and DOT compliance; truck log.

Responsibilities

• Ensures good customer relations through on-time deliveries and courteous, professional behavior.
• Transport and delivery of goods in a timely manner.
• Pick material for orders, load material, and manifest ship tickets.
• Safely secure loads and ensure loads meet vehicle weight limits.
• Verify count and condition of freight.
• Prepare receipts for load pickup or delivery.
• Collect payments for goods delivered and for delivery charges.
• Maintain telephone/radio contact with manager for delivery instructions.
• Fuel truck and restock materials as needed; maintain daily duties.
• Perform warehouse duties when no deliveries are scheduled.
• Clean and maintain work areas; adhere to all processes.
• Quality control: no damaged product sent out or accepted.
