Job summary

Crawford Electric Supply, part of the Sonepar group, is seeking a Driver to support on-time deliveries and safe handling of freight. This role requires operating company vehicles, loading/unloading, and maintaining safety and DOT compliance.

Ideal candidates bring a valid license, DOT readiness, and forklift experience. The position includes warehouse duties when not delivering and opportunities for growth within a leading electrical distributor.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license and ability to obtain/pass DOT physical.
• Six months or more related experience or training, or equivalent.
• Basic reading, writing and arithmetic skills required.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• PIT proficiency; reach truck, order picker, sit-down propane forklift; current certification a plus.

Responsibilities

• Ensures good customer relations through on-time deliveries and courteous, professional behavior.
• Transport and delivery of goods in a timely manner.
• Pick materials for orders, load/unload, and manifest ship tickets.
• Secure loads safely and verify loads within vehicle weight.
• Verify count and condition of freight.
• Make reports of overages, shortages and damages.
• Prepare receipt for the load pickup or delivery.
• Collect payments for goods delivered and for delivery charges.
• Maintain telephone/radio contact with manager for instructions.
• Fuel truck and restock materials as needed; perform warehouse duties when not delivering.
• Clean and maintain work areas; adhere to all processes.
